In overall very good condition. The panel is formed of a single plank which is uncradled, flat and stable. The paint surface is clean and the varnish only slightly discoloured. There is a small damage to the panel measuring less than 1 cm. in the sky just to the left of the tree and evidence of frame abrasion on the lower left and lower right margins. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals extremely few retouchings, save for a handful of very small areas in the barrel lower centre, and in the face of the woman carrying the basket, along with some tiny pin-prick sized spots in the sky upper centre. Offered in a carved and plaster gilt wood frame with some losses.
