Condition

Overall the condition of the wood is very good, with minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is a possible loss to the Virgin's sceptre. There is minor evidence of past worming on the reverse. There are a few minor losses to the edges of the wood on the reverse. There is very minor stable hairline splitting to the wood consistent with the material. There is a hole to the bottom edge to facilitate insertion into the base. The base is in good condition with minor wear and dirt to the velvet.
