Overall the condition of the plaque is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are areas of restoration at each of the four corners, more prominently on the bottom corners. There are further restorations to the top edge at the centre and the right edge at the centre. There is some minor craquelure, and there are some slightly open splits to Joseph's torso. There is minor rubbing to the gilding. There is some warping throughout, and particular wear to the counter-enamel.
