Condition

Laid down on paper. There are some small areas where the iron gall ink has begun to sink into the sheet, creating some small losses. These areas include the sitters nose and the back of his neck. There is evidence of some slight discoloration and surface dirt to the sheet. Otherwise in fair condition with the image still strong throughout.
