  • Giovanni Maria Morandi
  • Design for a spandrel with figures of Faith and The Church
  • Red chalk and wash with pen and brown ink, on two joined sheets of paper;
    bears numbering in pen and dark brown ink, centre:  N1524- and bears inscription in pen and dark brown ink, lower right:  Dom. Maria Canuti, also bears old attribution in red chalk, lower right:  Vignali (?)

Condition

Laid down - drawn over two sheets of paper. There are a number of losses and tears throughout. There is a small hole in the lower right corner and one in the lower left corner. Where the two sheets join at the upper margin there are a number of small losses and holes. Surface dirt. Medium remains strong despite the condition issues above.
