Condition

This case is of very good quality but is tired and in Country House condition. There are old marks and scratches throughout. Some losses to the interior fittings and one wonders if the lower section had further fittings and a rectangular reserve to the pull out tray, now lost. This does not detract. The glass bottles, boxes and containers show signs of heavy use and eight of these with chips or in some cases losses. Wear these losses have occurred the glass is jagged. The mirror with spotting and old marks. The exterior with some lifting to brass. The reverse of the chest with an obvious estate made mahogany plug/repair. Very charming.
