This writing table is in reasonably good condition, with overall marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The brass gallery presents some light tarnishing, while the parquetry top has some scratches, most eminently to one area, and one horizontal shrinking crack. There are two horizontal losses to the veneer of the front frieze drawer. The left side with one loss of circa 10cm. to the bottom veneer band. The right side with the right side of the drawer veneer band missing. There is one horizontal scratch to the back frieze. The gilt bronzes are tarnished and would benefit from a light clean according to taste.
