Condition
The thin panel is flat and uncradled. The paint surface is dirty with an uneven and dulled varnish. There are scattered, small losses throughout, the most significant of which are in the upper right and lower right hand corners; in the arm and back of the Christ child, and a small loss in his hair. There are two hairline cracks running down from the top margin, each measuring c.1.5 inches. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals that there has been very little restoration. Offered in an elaborately painted and gilt frame in good condition with some minor retouchings.
