  • Silver-Gilt, Mother-of-Pearl, Steel
  • length 21.7cm, 8 1/2 in.
with scrolling terminals and ferrules, the handles inset with gold plaques engraved with crowned cypher ON (Cyrillic) and Imperial eagles, steel blades, in a fitted cutlery tray

Provenance

Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna of Russia (1822–1892), later Queen Olga of Württemberg, a gift from her father Tsar Nicolas I (1796-1855) on occasion of her marriage to Crown Prince Karl Friedrich Alexander of Württemberg (1823-1891) in 1846

Condition

Knives all in good condition with no damage to mother-of-pear other than one which is heavily damaged and missing both inset cartouches. The silver-gilt mounts are unmarked.
