Condition
The canvas has been lined. There is some fine scattered craquelure in the background and some raised craquelure closer to the right, in the boy's chest and in his left sleeve. Ultra-violet light reveals some areas of discoloured varnish but no particular sign of retouching. The picture is overall in good condition.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame with some losses.
