- Gilt bronze, porcelain, tulipwood
- 78cm. high, 56cm. wide, 22cm. deep; 2ft. 6¾in., 1ft. 10in., 8¾in.
the shaped cresting with facing cast cherubs and inset medallion above four shelves with mirrored backplate; with inventory labels 'H. V. v. W. G. v. R. Privat-Eigentum No. 1767', 'H. V. v. W. G. v. R. Privat-Eigentum No. 353.' and label 'O.N. villa'
Provenance
Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna of Russia (1822–1892), later Queen Olga of Württemberg, a gift from her father Tsar Nicolas I (1796-1855) on occasion of her marriage to Crown Prince Karl Friedrich Alexander of Württemberg (1823-1891) in 1846.
Condition
This piece is in good condition, with only minor marks and scratches. The bronzes are only marginally tarnished but this does not detract from the piece's attractive patina. It is ready to place.
