Description

  • Giltwood, mirror glass
  • 126cm. high, 51cm. wide; 4ft. 1¾in., 1ft. 8in.
of oval form, with a palm and oak-leaf garland crest

Condition

This mirror is in reasonable original condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use. There are losses to the carved cresting, most notably two leaves of the gilt palm tree. More small losses on the frame itself, in particular two on the upper part, also visible on the catalogue photograph. The gilding is tarnished in places. With some faintly visible construction cracks.
