  • A gilt-metal and verre eglomise almanac, Paris, circa 1828
  • gilt metal, gold, silk, glass, paper
  • 9cm., 3 1/2 in. high
each cover painted with lake views within spangles, the spine stamped with flower interlacing, the beige silk lining with two compartments, containing an almanac entitled 'Souvenir / a Paris' with coloured prints for each month, and calendar for 1828, with sprially-fastened pencil, in red leather case with gilt tooled initials M.T, probably for Marchese Taccone

Condition

overall very good condition apart from some clouding to églomisé, losses to gilding and wear to back of case with light staining to lining. Painting, front of case and leaves very fresh.
