Description

  • Marble, giltwood, pine, poplar
  • each 90cm. high, 145cm. wide, 56cm. deep; 2ft. 11½in., 4ft. 9in., 1ft. 10in.
each with a rectangular white marble top above a long frieze on carved lion-headed supports and shaped base

Condition

The four console tables are in good original condition. The white marble tops display various chips on the edges, as well as marks, scratches and stains throughout. There is one larger chip to the back right corner of one. There is another piece with wax residue to the back right section. The tables with marks and scratches consistent with age and use and traces of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active. There are minor losses to veneer. The moulded borders with sections that have become loose or detached with time and need to be re-attached. The shaped bases of two each with an area of superficial staining in need of some attention. These console table would greatly benefit from a light clean and some attention.
