modelled in mirror image, both heads raised with large bulging eyes and jaws open to reveal sharp teeth, the female resting her front left paw on her cub, the male resting its right front paw on a brocade ball representing the world, covered overall in a bright turquoise glaze

Condition

Both lions with small chips to the extremities; the male lion with restoration to both ears and over-painting to the top of the tail; the female with restoration to right ear and left bushy eyebrow and over-painting to the top of the tail.
