Description

  • bronze
cast on one face with a central medallion enclosing two dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, surrounded by four square-shaped cartouches enclosing characters reading Fushou shuangquan (Good fortune and longevity), all reserved on a ground of immortals interspersed amongst precious objects

Condition

This large mirror mirror is in good overall condition with the exception of two depressions at the rim, one approximately 3cm., wide, the other 6cm., wide with an associated deep nick to the centre of the depression on the edge of the rim, light rubbing to the top surface of the raised decoration and rubbing and scratches to the mirror surface.
