Probably acquired by Susan Georgiana Ramsay, Marchioness of Dalhousie (1817-1853)
Condition
With richly figured timber in 'country house' condition. Caning to one side chair and the sofa damaged and will require restoration. Colour of sofa is slightly faded when compared to the side chairs and would benefit from a wax according to taste. Frames with some movement and shrinkage to joints of construction but structurally sound. the sofa with a modern cream upholstered drop in seat. Minor old marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
