Condition

Overall fair/good condition consistent with age and use. Fading throughout all chairs with scattered scratches, concentrated to the seats, with staining to the underside of the seats near the legs. A few chips throughout, a few of which have been filled with a coloured wax. Some seam separation to the wooden ply, particularly to the curvature between the seat and backrests. This same area exhibits signs of stress on all chairs, with hairline fractures forming, thereby weakening the backrests and causing movement. Oxidation to the metal legs of all chairs, with their rubber supports exhibiting dryness and some cracking. Three black end caps are missing, two on one chair and one to the other, and all are visible in the catalogue. One chair is of a slightly darker colour than the other three and contains a metal plate to the underside of its base. The other three have a grey plastic plate.
