Condition
The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.This work has been nicely restored. The canvas is unlined. The tacking edges have been reinforced. The stretcher marks around the four edges are still slightly visible, but the condition of the work is particularly good. Under ultraviolet light, only two spots of retouching are visible in the background above the pot. This is a work that has otherwise survived undamaged, and it is in beautiful condition.
