Condition
The board appears sound. There are Artist's pinholes in each corner, and one or two visible elsewhere to the work. There are some losses throughout, most visible to the upper horizontal edge and above the lower edge, and compressions to all four corners. There are some fine cracks running from the centre to the left edge, with some minor associated losses. There are losses to some of the impasto tips throughout. There is paint loss in some raised areas. There is some bloom throughout, most visible in the black pigment, and some surface dirt and studio matter.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious evidence of restoration. However, there is some fluorescence throughout, which appears in keeping with the nature of the Artist's materials.
The work is presented in a painted wooden frame.
