Condition

The canvas is original and appears sound. There are one or two very minor flecks of paint loss to the upper left corner and left edge. There is some studio matter in the black tones towards the centre. There is some very light surface dirt and studio detritus throughout. There is some very light frame abrasion to all four corners. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching or fluorescence. The work is floated within a simple painted wood frame. Please telephone the department on +(44) 0207 293 6424 if you have any further questions regarding the present lot.
