Condition

There is some rounding and loss to the edges of the board, however the board appears to be stable. There are nail heads visible around the edges of the board, which have been used to secure it to to the frame, with some associated losses to the board and oil paint. There is a small area of pigment at the centre of the lower edge which appears to have come loose and been re-adhered. There is a finger print towards the upper left corner, most probably the Artist's. There are some extremely minor lines of reticulation in the upper right corner, with some further tiny lines elsewhere. There is some surface dirt and a light scuff towards the centre of the right edge, in the orange pigment. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of restoration or fluorescence. The work is presented in a simple wooden frame, and it appears to have been glued into the frame.
