Condition

The sheet appears to be flat and stable. The sheet is adhered to the mount with one tab of adhesive tape in each corner. The left vertical edge is perforated, believed to be when taken from a sketchbook. There is some very slight undulation in the upper left corner. There are some very minor creases apparent in the upper left, lower left and lower right corners towards the edges. There are two very small historic tears to the right vertical edge, approximately at the centre. There is a tiny hole to the left of the lower edge, beneath the Artist's signature. There appears to be some foxing to the sheet, in particular in the lower left quadrant with some very minor instances elsewhere. There is evidence of some time staining to the sheet and also some light surface dirt and studio matter. On the verso there is some residue from a previous mount. Subject to the above the work appears to be in overall good condition. The work is float mounted and held within a natural wooden frame behind perspex.
