Condition

The board appears to be sound. There is a historic loss to the board in the lower right corner and there is some slight rounding to the upper corners. There is some light abrasion to all four edges, most likely from a previous frame, which is not wholly visible in the present frame. There are one or two very tiny instances of paint loss. There is some light surface dirt and studio matter throughout. Subject to the above the work appears to be in overall very good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals minor scattered areas of fluorescence throughout the composition including but not limited to the outer edges, in line with the aforementioned frame abrasion. These have all been extremely sensitively executed. Please telephone the department on +44 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present lot.
