Condition

The panel appears securely attached to the backing board. There are some fine lines of cracking to the panel, in line with the grain of the wood, and only visible upon close inspection. There is a scuff and slight indentation to the panel at the centre of the left vertical edge, and there are some further minor scuffs in places to the panel. There are some specks of surface dirt, staining and studio detritus to the panel and the backing board, most apparent towards the upper part of the backing board at the right vertical edge. There are also some speckles of mould to the backing board towards the lower horizontal edge. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented in the Artist's wooden frame. At the upper left edge, some of the strip attached to the inner side of the frame is lifting.
