Condition

The sheet is hinged to the back board with two tabs at the top edge. The top edge of the sheet is uneven, which appears to be in keeping with the Artist's working materials and there are pin holes in each of the four corners. There is a further tiny hole in the circle at the upper centre of the composition. The sheet is very mildly cockled. There are several vertical scratches and a further horizontal scratch in the paint surface at the upper right quadrant. These appear to be consistent with the Artist's working method. There are some tiny flecks of paint loss at the lower centre of the composition. On close examination it is possible to see some studio detritus at the centre of the left edge and in the brown pigment at the upper centre of the composition. Subject to the above and overall the work appears to be in very good and original condition. The work is held behind glass and presented in a painted wooden frame.
