Condition
Not examined out of the frame. Original canvas. The canvas undulates very slightly in places, but otherwise appears sound. There is one tiny possible line of craquelure in the upper left quadrant in the sky. There are some minor spots of surface dirt and matter to the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in excellent overall condition, with a rich impasto surface and bright, fresh pigments throughout.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is presented in a gilded and moulded frame with a fabric-covered slip, held under glass.
