Condition

The work is in good condition overall. Upon close observation, horizontal bands of craquelures are visible on the right edge. Examination under ultraviolet light shows restoration on the top right corner and scattered throughout the bottom section, predominantly on the buffaloes, however, this is not visible with the naked eye. Framed

Vo Doan Giap was a student of the Hanoi Fine Arts School until it closed down in 1945 due to the war. The budding artist fled to the South of Vietnam to begin his artistic journey. He is known for lacquer and oil painting, and seldom worked on silk.
