Catalogue Note

This painting is from a series of small works Mr. Sheikh made for the Bhopal mural, titled Tree of Life in 1996. It is most likely that this watercolour was started in 1996 and then dated 2007 when it was completed and included in the charity auction (Correspondence with the artist, 2017).
