Provenance
Acquired directly from the artist by a private collector who taught at the Goethe Institute in Kolkata circa the early 1970s. They developed a close friendship and continued to correspond after the collector moved back to Austria
Thence by descent to the present owner
Condition
There is a lacuna to the underside of the bronze together with several relatively minor casting flaws to the underside consistent with the material. There is pitting consistent with the artistic process, and the surface is textured and uneven with small losses visible upon close inspection. This sculpture is in good condition for its age.
