Condition

Illustration is accurate. Good overall condition. As stated in the catalogue description, this is an oil gilding and not gold leaf gilding. The gilding is slightly chipped and rubbed as expected, especially at the reverse of the backs. The pins have been changed in order to get the construction firm. These pins are not gilded and slightly visible, especially at the back. The gilding has been refreshed with gold paint on both armrests of one armchair. The upholstery is in very nice condition. Nice model with an unusual shape, typical for George Jacob.
