Condition

The illustration is accurate. Good overall condition, despite inevitable very few minute dents, scratches and marks due to age and handling. There is a small chip on two angles of the base. Gilding is nice despite slightly tarnished. To recommend.

Marie-Antoinette conservait à Saint Cloud une paire de cuves arrondies en porphyre vert comparables à la nôtre. Elles furent ensuites inventoriées dans le premier salon de l'impératrice Joséphine à Saint Cloud.
