Catalogue Note
A crisp copy of the Mozarabic breviary. The Mozarabic rite arose in the Christian Visigothic kingdom (later Andalusia) in the seventh century and was codified by St Isidore of Seville; it was later amended to incorporate elements of the Roman Rite by Cardinal Ximénes de Cisneros in the early sixteenth century.
