A SECULAR MANUSCRIPT IN ARMENIAN

Acquired from Lennox Gallery, London, 1999, by the father of the present owner.

The colophon at the end of the manuscript states the year in typical Armenian alphabet dating form: 'EZ' - May 26; and 'R', 'GH', 'P'  (1000+90+2+551) - that is 1643. It was written by the monk Nerses in Kayseri (Caesarea), Cappadocia.
