Condition
Overall in very good condition. The “lily” shades are a particularly well-matched assembled set displaying complementary form and coloration, one with slightly more pronounced ribs visible in the catalogue illustration. The shades are beautifully iridized and when viewed with reflected light display strong luminous color. The shades are in excellent condition, each with scattered minute air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually detractive. One shade with a thin pulled vertical inclusion extending from the ruffled edge upward approximately 1 1/2 inches, not visually detractive. Each shade with occasional minute fleabites to their upper apertures which are not visible when the shades are installed. One shade with a small surface fleck to the upper aperture measuring approximately 1/8 inch wide. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base with gentle surface wear, minor traces of surface oxidation and light surface soiling and white surface residue to the recessed areas of the design. The bronze surfaces in very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design, and a small area of rubbing adjacent to the cord outlet. With a period switch which is fully functional. The three gilt floral bobeches and interior sockets all appear to be original and undisturbed. This charming lamp displays beautifully in person.
