Condition

The painting is ready to hang in its present state. The panel is flat and beveled and in stable condition with a fine restored vertical crack in the right hand section which is faintly visible on face. Inspection under UV reveals some very fine cosmetic retouching in the sitter's face, to the shadows in his collar and a fine line of retouching to the aforementioned crack. The painting is offered a carved gilt wood frame.
