Condition
The painting is in good condition and is ready to hang immediately. The panel is flat and stable, made up of a single vertical board, beveled on all four edges. The paint surface clean beneath a clear varnish with strong details. Inspection under UV reveals some possible strengthening to his jacket and older retouching here and there to the background and the niche. There are a few finely applied flecked retouches to his face and hand.
Offered in a simply carved dark wood frame.
