Condition

Panel is comprised of two boards brought together by a single horizontal join. Panel is flat, stable, cradled on the reverse with wax filling in between the cradling. The painting presents a strong image to the naked eye, with small but uniformly scattered retouches visible under UV. Such retouches are common for 17th century Dutch landscapes. The paint has thinned also somewhat in the lighter tones but is strong and rich and most areas.
