Condition
The painting overall presents a strong image. The canvas has an old glue relining and has been very slightly pressed in the lining process. Inspection under ultraviolet light is impeded by a milky varnish but there appear to be strokes of strengthening to the darks and scattered through the drapery and background.
The painting is ready to hang and offered in a carved dark and gilt wood frame.
