Condition
The canvas is relined. Overall this picture is in beautiful condition. There are areas of impasto still intact in a number of flowers. The paint has thinned somewhat in the darker areas where the original flowers would have been painted in thinner glazes. UV light reveals a few very minor scattered retouches in the background. These are largely confined to the outer edges. The flowers are well preserved. The painting can be hung in its current state. In a carved guilt wood frame with a few losses to the gilding.
