Oil on panel. Surface: In generally good condition aside from a small dot of turned inpainting on the figure's chest and an almost imperceptible network of craquelure in the reds on the figure's costume and the purple on the table cloth. UNDER UV: Scattered dots and dashes of inpainting throughout the carpet and in the background at upper right, a few dots on the table cloth and on the cardinal's face.
