  • oil on panel

Provenance

M. Knoedler & Co., New York
Sale: Sotheby's, New York, May 23, 1996, lot 332A

Condition

Oil on cradled panel. The surface is fresh and clean, aside from a shiny varnish. There is minor pigment separation in the yellows of the girls wrap. A vertical panel crack is visible in the left background approximately 9 inches from the top of the panel. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green and the pinks in her ear and cheek fluoresce and appear to still be active. The work presents very well and is ready to hang in its current condition.
