Condition

Oil on canvas, with an older lining. The picture surface is somewhat thin and has been flattened by the lining. There is a drippy varnish, which is most visible in the lower right quadrant. Under UV light, older retouches to the tree leaves and trunk are visible. There are additional retouches to the architecture at left. A few small dashes of retouching in the horse's mane and the shadow of the legs. The unevenly applied varnish fluoresces. Framed and ready to hang in its current condition.
