Condition

Oil on copper. The copper is relatively flat and in good condition. The picture surface is covered in a very fine, stable web of craquelure, most visible in the sky. The surface appears fresh and clean. Under UV light, two areas of retouching visible along the upper left edge; one along the lower left edge; one at lower center; and a few smaller scattered areas in the upper right corner. The majority of the tree at left, the landscape in the foreground, and the tree at right are covered by a green fluorescing varnish that impedes observation. In a plaster and gilt frame. Ready to hang in its current condition.
