Oil on canvas, lined. The surface of the work is in generally good condition. There is a thin web of craquelure that is stable; it is relatively imperceptible except in the lighter pigments. There are discolored retouches visible in the chest of the girl in blue at left; the face and coat of the boy at center; and in the arms and skirt of the woman in gray. Under UV light, the aforementioned retouches Laura. There are additional retouches in the girl in blue's face, in her proper left cheek and below her lip. Minor retouches in the proper right chin, lip and eyebrow and center forehead of the boy at center. The majority of the background remains covered by a green fluorescing varnish, though there are a few small scattered areas of retouching around the two children. Framed and ready to hang.
