Oil on canvas, with a stiff lining. The surface of the picture is somewhat pressed by the lining. The surface is clean, and the colors remain fresh. The dark pigments in the architecture and the tree at upper left are slightly difficult to read. There is a stable web of craquelure visible over the entire surface, as well as stretcher bar marks. Under UV light, there are minor scattered retouches throughout the picture surface. An area of retouched abrasion is visible above the architecture at upper center. Small scattered retouches visible throughout the architecture and tree in the left half, as well as to strengthen shadows around the birds and in the peacocks tail in the lower left quadrant. A Y-shaped line of retouching visible at the horizon at right center; additional retouching below the bird at lower right. Overall the work presents well and is ready to hang. In an elaborately carved gold wood frame. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
