Oil on canvas, lined. The surface is generally in good condition, aside from a stable web of craquelure and stretcher bar marks. Under UV light, there is retouching throughout, The green fluorescing varnish has been partially cleaned. There is strengthening to the birds' wings; the edges of the canvas; and retouching to the aforementioned stretcher bar marks and craquelure.
