Oil on panel, unframed. There are two horizontal panel cracks that extend from the left to the right edge of the work visible above the central figures' heads and through their chests. A few additional panel cracks extend from the right side of the work through the dead geese in the still life at right. The surface is clean and freshly varnished. The work is thin and areas and abrasions are evident. Minor nicks and scuffs at the extreme edges. Under UV light, retouching is evident around the aformentioned panel cracks as well as scattered in the composition.
