Oil on canvas with an old lining. The surface has been flattened by this lining. There is a stable web of craquelure, with associated minor losses, especially in the sky at right. There is a small loss above the dog and some scattered retouching that has discolored and is visible to the naked eye. Under UV light, there is a green fluorescing varnish over the majority of the work, though it has been cleaned from the figure and the sky. There are scattered dots of retouching. Some strengthening to the leaves around the sky at upper right and a line of strengthening in the background at left, as well as in the shadows of Diana's belt.
