Condition

Oil on panel, unframed. The panel is cracked horizontally across the entire surface through the center of both figures' bodies. The upper corners of the panel have been nicked and are slightly lower than the other parts of the panel The surface is fresh and probably recently cleaned. There is craquelure throughout especially evident in the trees and figures of the upper half of the work. The varnish remain slightly tacky. Under UV light there are both older and younger retouches evident throughout.
